I am an intelligent, fun-loving and beautiful professional young woman. I am quite a spiritual (not religious) person and love the feeling of connection I get with nature and another human being when I "click" with someone.

I am looking for friendship and a bit of dating and we'll see what happens from there.

My interests are varied and the following gives a flavour of what I am into.

I love science, philosophy and psychology. I belong to a local astronomy group. For the last year I have got quite into self-help/personal development books and courses to help me strengthern my mental and emotional well-being and outlook on life as a result of going through a divorce. This has been fantastic in helping me to see life with enthusiasm and full of exciting possibilities.

I love dancing and am currently doing salsa classes. I also like singing and used to do a bit of karaoke, but can't talk anyone into coming along for a laugh any more.

I love eating out, especially at fine/posh restaurants.

I love reading - have tended to read family sagas, science or psychology books, but have enjoyed it when friends have given me something different to try. The most recent try was "A Wild Sheep Chase" by Haruki Murakami, which was wierd, not something I would have picked up, but I did enjoy it. Hitch Hiker's Guide To The Galaxy was another recent book I was given and I found it hilarious and loved it.

I like going to the cinema, but not had chance to go much in the recent years.

I enjoy the beauty and feeling of connection and closeness to nature. I enjoy walks in the countryside (not too strenuous though), gardens and on the beach which make me feel this way.

I am interested in exploring and educating myself more in art and wine.

I am not good at shallow time-filling in conversations about the weather. I much prefer real conversations that let me get to know the other person and for them to want to know me like that too. I can be fairly passionate and opinionated about a lot of things, I like a discussion, and take the view in a discussion that everything is just a matter of one person's opinion and no more right than any one else's.

Having said all that, I do like a laugh and like witty men who can make me laugh.

My ideal man would need to be a very open minded person, have high self-esteem/self-confidence, have a good sense of humour, be intelligent, affectionate and a good communicator. He would be interested in science/technology, art, and spiritual (not religious) growth. The below gives more details.

1. Must like children.

2. Be Corcasion, 5 ft 6 to 6 ft tall, average build, eats reasonably healthily, non-smoker, non-drug user, and have good hygene habits, i.e. has a shower every day, keeps hair and clothes clean, etc. Can look after himself in terms of cooking, cleaning, washing clothes, etc.

3. Be Affectionate, open to talking about feelings, comfortable with and capable of being romantic (but not overly sickly gushing with it), respectful of my thoughts and feelings

4. Be Sociable: be comfortable initiating conversation and enjoy making friends and enjoy the company of others.

5. Be a professional person educated to degree level. Be employed in a job that pays for a good standard of living. Must be capable of understanding science/technical things to some level.

6. Have a healthy mature attitude to sex: not afraid or embarrassed to discuss sex and open to exploring it together.

7. Be a good communicator: Willing to talk about problems/issues as opposed to sweeping them under the carpet and avoiding them. Can admit when he's made a mistake and can apologise. Has good listening skills and can verbalise what he thinks/feels.

8. Be open to spiritual concepts and that there might be a higher power out there than ourselves, and that he himself possesses a high power than his physical body. Have a positive attitude to life. Be open to personal development/growth work for himself and support me in my interest and commitment in this area.

9. Interests: be interested in science/technology, art, like exploring about new things, fine dining, enjoy and appreciate nature, and willing to do dancing with me.
