Full Membership is FREE, all the time (including lesbian couples). If your a little weary of FREE dating sites to give you the best of both worlds you have the option of only accepting messages from full subscribing / paying Male members. This way you get the benefits of a a FREE dating site with the quality profiles of a paid service.
For Men:
Dating is also 100% FREE for men. However some women prefer to only recieve messages from full subscribing males. To contact another member who only wishes to be contacted by full subscribing males you will need to upgrade your membership.
If you are a male looking to meet another male then the site is always 100% FREE unless you want to subscribe to use our extra features.
As a full Member you will then be able to send unlimited messages to as many other members as you wish and have full use of the dating sites extra features

Q. I have my password but I am unable to sign in, what's wrong?
Passwords are case sensitive so make sure you are typing the password in the correct case. For example 123DEF is not the same as 123def. Also check that you are using the same email address that you used to sign up with.
Q. I have forgotten my login details, how can I get them resent?
You can have a new password generated and resent at any time by clicking here
Your login details will have been displayed on screen when you joined which you need to keep a note of. We also sent you these details to the email address you registered with.
Make sure you check your junk email folder for your password. If the mail is not there try adding 'support@theplacetodate.com' to your safe senders list.
Q. Can I change my password?
Yes. We recommend you change your password regularly. To do this, click on the 'My Account' tab and click on the 'My Settings' button then in the password section enter your current password and then enter and confirm your new password and click on the change button.
Q. How do I send a message to another member?
Simply view the member's profile and click on the 'Contact me' icon at the top of the page. This will lead you to our secure messaging system which allows you to send email to other members. Never give out your personal email address to people you don't know.
Q. How do I block a member from emailing or winking at me?
Simply view the members profile and click on the 'block this member' button.
Q. How long are my messages kept for before they are deleted?
Currently messages are never deleted however if a member requests their profile to be removed from the server then any associated messages sent or received will also be deleted to protect their privacy.
Q. How many messages can I send in one day?
You can send an unlimited amount of messages in any 24 hour period. However, we have tight controls on this site to prevent spam messages.
Q. I no longer wish to receive e-mail notifications when I receive a message.
You can switch off the email notification service by logging in, selecting the 'My Account' tab and clicking the 'My Settings' button.
Q. How do I change my screen name?
Click on the 'My Account' tab and then click on the 'My Details' link, then simply edit your screen name in the My Details section and click on the confirm button. Your screen name must be unique. If your screen name is not unique you will be asked to change it and try again.
Q. What is the status of my subscription?
Click on 'My Account' tab, click on the 'My Settings' button and then simply view the subscription section on the page.
Q. How do I manage my email preferences?
You are in complete control of the type of emails you receive from theplacetodate.com. To change your preferences click on 'My Account' tab and click on the 'My Settings' button then in the notifications section select the type of emails you wish to receive from theplacetodate.com.
Q. How do I resign from theplacetodate.com?
To resign your membership or subscription, click on 'My Account' tab, click on the 'My Settings' button, then in subscription settings section select 'Disable my account' check box and click on the confirm button. Note: Inactive profiles will be permenantly deleted after a period of time.
Q. How do I change my email address / sign in information?
To change your email address click on the 'My Account' tab and then click on the 'My Settings' buton, then in the email settings section enter a new email address and click on the 'Change email' button. A link will be sent to your new email address which you must click to activate the change.
Q. What should I write in my profile?
The content of your profile is ultimately up to you, but it is important to check it is politely written with no spelling or grammatical mistakes.It is for these reasons that your profile could be rejected.
Q. How long does it take for my profile to be approved?
We do have an approval process which we try to complete within a few hours, however it can take up to 24 hrs on a busy day.
Q. How do I edit my profile?
You can edit your profile at any time by logging in with your Username and Password then clicking 'My Details', 'About Me' and 'About My match' links.
Q. Can I hide my profile?
If you are receiving too many messages and feel like a break, you can hide your profile. This will remove you from the search results however you will stay in members favourites if already added and messages you have sent and received will still be readable.
To hide your profile click on the 'My Account' tab and then click the 'My settings' button, In the subscription settings select the 'Hide my profile' check box.
Q. How do I upload my photo?
Once you have logged in, click on the 'My Account' tab and then click on 'My Photos' button. Here you can upload you photo by clicking on the 'browse' button and selecting your chosen photo from your computer.
You can mark photos as public or private and provide a small description against a photo if you wish.
Q. Why was my photo rejected?
We always try to make sure that good clear shots are used as Main photos. If your photo was removed it did not meet our standards. We do not allow adult or sexual images on the site or pictures that are not actual photos.
Q. My Photos are too large to be uploaded by your system, how I make them smaller?
Supported formats are JPEG,GIF,BMP,PNG and most TIFF images. If your photo does not appear after the upload it may be unsupported or too large. for best results use a JPEG image.
If you have your photos on your computer you will also probably have software installed to edit them, please make sure they are no larger than 400 pixels wide and the file size is below 500k.
Q. How many photos can I have in total?
You can have 10 photos in total.
Q. I don't want to have a photo live on the site, can I just send one directly to another member?
We do not currently allow members to send pictures in messages however you can always mark your photo as private and only allow certain members to see them by clicking on the 'Allow to see my private photos' icon on their profile. You can manage who sees your private photos by clicking on the 'My Profiles' tab and clicking the 'View my private photos' link
Q. Is there a limit to the number of favourites I can have in my list?

Q. How do I remove someone from my favourites
You can remove someone from your favourites by clicking the 'My Profiles' tab, then select the member in question from the list and select 'Remove from my favourites' from the drop down menu.
Q. Can members see when I have added them to my favourites?
Yes they can! By adding a member to your favourites you automatically appear in their 'Who likes me' list, it's a great way to show another member you could be interested!
Q. How do I specify which matches appear in my inbox from theplacetodate.com by mail?
To receive the best matches possible make sure your profile's description of about you and the type of person you would like to meet is complete and accurate. Also save your favourite searches using the custom search's option. Make sure your email notifications for your search are turned on on the 'My Settings' page.
Q. How do I search for a date?
To do a search, first login then click the 'Search Profiles' tab. You have a choice of performing a 'Quick search', 'Member's search' or a 'Custom Search'.
Q. How are the search results ordered?
All search results are ordered in date last logged in, this ensures that members who use the site frequently are kept near the top of the listings.
Q. How secure is dating online with The Place To Date.com?
The Place To Date.com couldn't be safer. The site is fully virus protected and your personal details such as email address, password are all kept confidential. Other members will only be able to see what you have chosen to put on your public profile.
Q. I think someone has got hold of my account details, and can therefore access my account, what should I do?
If you think someone may have got access to your Username and Password we would suggest that you change your Password immediately by logging in then clicking the 'My Account' tab then clicking the 'My settings' button and following the instructions in the 'Password settings' section.
You are responsible for the security of your account, please keep your login details and your email account you receive them on secure.
Q. Do you pass on my e-mail address to third parties?
Unlike some other dating sites we will never pass on your email address to other parties or send you emails promoting other products.
To keep life simple, there are only 2 types of membership available on The Place To Date.com: FREE and Full Subscription.
All females date for FREE on The Place To Date.com, and this includes Lesbian couples. Females can choose to recieve messages from all members or full subscribers only.
Men can sign up for FREE to seach our huge database of singles and contact any female who is happy to be contacted by a FREE member. Some females choose to only recieve messages from full subscribers and these members are often more serious about meeting someone new and generally have higher quality profiles.
